|| Family Details Of Hanuman Ji, Details Of The Boons He Received, Details About His Siddhis. || ◆ Ramayana & Mahabharata are the greatest events that happened in the Hindu philosophy. The history of the Characters that were present in these epics has been mentioned in Puranas. ◆ Hanuman being a son of Anjana and Kesari, also known to be the son of Vayu as mentioned in the Valmiki Ramayana 4.66.18- मनसा अस्मि गतो यत् त्वाम् परिष्वज्य यशस्विनि । वी र्यवान् बुद्धि संपन्नः पुत्रः तव भविष्यति।। ◆ The history of Bhagawan Hanuman is mentioned in various Puranas too and according to Brahmanda Purana, Hanuman Ji had 4 brothers. ◆ The names of his other brothers are- Matimaan, Shrutiman, Ketuman & Dhrtiman. Among these Bhagawan Hanuman was the eldest. ◆ It is an interesting fact that among these Dhrtiman was the most intelligent one. ◆ Unlike Hanuman Ji, all the brothers were well established along with suitable & befitting wives & were also blessed with sons & grandsons. ◆ According to a folktale Bhagawan Hanuman was technically not a bachelor (Brahmachari). His wife was Suvarchala who was the daughter of Surya. Actually, he wanted to learn Nava Vyakarnas (the 9 Grammar Rules), and being an Aajanma Brahmachari (life-long bachelor), Hanuman was not eligible to study it. Surya grants him a boon that he will still be a bachelor even after marriage as a Prajapatya Brahmachari and will maintain his celibacy. According to Ananda Ramayana, Sara Kanda, sarga 11 Shlok 89, Hanuman has a son too. His name was Makara. This happened When Hanuman ji burnt Lanka with his tail and extinguished the fire with the help of ocean water, he spat phlegm in his throat caused by the smoke. That was consumed by a Makara present in the ocean. From that, he was born. || Boons Received By Him || There's a lot of confusion among people about what boons hanuman ji has ever received from the devatas. I will elucidate this matter, but first, let's delve into some context. As narrated in the Kishkindha Kanda of the Ramayana, during Hanuman's childhood, he mistook the sun for a fruit and endeavored to reach it, intending to consume it. It is essential to note that he merely made an attempt to eat it but did not succeed in doing so. Upon spotting Hanuman approaching, Bhagawan Indra hurled his Vajra (thunderbolt), intending to strike him down, inadvertently causing an injury to Hanuman's left cheekbone. Because of his broken cheekbone, he got the name "Hanuman", 'Hanu' means jaw, and 'Maan' means disfigured. Coming back to the story, Vayu, the wind god, and Hanuman's father, became enraged by his son's injury and consequently decided to cease the circulation of air throughout the world. This development alarmed the other devatas, prompting them to bestow numerous blessings upon Hanuman in order to appease Vayu which are as follow- ◆ First boon to Hanuman Ji was given by Brahma ji that no weapon will ever kill hanuman ji. ◆ Indra Ji gave the 2nd boon that he will have Iksha mrityu. ◆Further boons are mentioned in Uttar kand of Ramayana, which are- ◆Sun god blessed Hanuman ji by giving him 1% of his energy. ◆ Varun dev blessed hanuman ji immortality against water and from his weapon. ◆Yam dev blessed hanuman that he will be free from his punishment and will remain disease free. ◆Kubera blessed hanuman by saying, 'my mace will not cause his death in combat.' ◆ Shiv Ji grant the supreme boon that hanuman will be invulnerable to death by him or his weapons." ◆ Vishvakarma, the best of technicians, granted him the following boon: "Being invulnerable to the divine weapons made by him, and he will be long-lived.’ || 8 Siddhis Of Hanuman Ji || Following are the 8 siddhis that Bhagawan Hanuman have attained- 1.
