The Sumerian civilisation is thought to be the oldest civilisation in the world.

The ancient Gods of Sumer are well known among those interested in the history and anthropology of our world.

They are the all-powerful Anunnaki.

The Great civilisation of the Sumerians emerged in the fertile crescent of Mesopotamia in around the 6th Millennium BC.

Among its many achievements; our modern measuring system of both time and distance, the earliest writing system known so far, the oldest library (of Ashurbanipal), the origin of our fascination with Gold and our oldest known recorded narratives and stories.

In the late 19th century it became apparent that the ancient Sumerian civilisation was the source of many of our traditional Biblical narratives; Noah and the flood, Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, the Creation of Humanity, the Garden of Eden and the tower of Babel.

All of these allegories and more can be traced back to the ancient scribes and recordkeepers of Sumer.

The name "Anunnaki" is debated over (like all language), some have it as meaning "Princely offspring" or "Offspring of the Gods" and others say "Those who from Heaven to Earth came".

For me, both interpretations are correct, as in the anatomical allegory the Heavens and the Gods may relate to the Sacred energy; or the Ethereal El-ectric.

For the average individual the anatomical allegory is the most useful. This is the story of their own body and its potential; and the potential of their descendants.

The name Anunaki may be translated to "those who are in touch with their Spirit".

Or,

A Human who is fine-tuned to their Nervous system, an individual with a connection to the most high, to God(s) and to the Goddess.

The title Sumer is thought to translate to: "the land of the civilised kings". 

However, the root sound "Sum" also has links to many other civilisations and peoples. (And Traditions!).

The sounds c and s are interchangeable in many languages. The word "circle" is a good example; in which our Sumerian predecessors gave us our 360 degrees. 

The prefix "Sum" or "Cum" are found throughout the ancient cultures, languages and traditions of our planet. 

The Khmer civilisation; builders of the mindblowing Angkor Wat temple complex.

The 4 Kumaras of the Hindu faith.

And, the Cumbrians and Cymru of Great Britain. (Cymru is Wales).

(This post is not about claiming origin or ownership of anything. It is rather about a rediscovery of an ancient tradition, a world tradition, one which belongs to the whole of Humanity).

In Welsh "Cymru" means together, countrymen, communion, community, connection, reception and receptivity.

The word "Swmmer" in Welsh has connotations toward binding and tethering.

"Swm" means the state of being together.

"Swmmeru" is to support and uphold.

Here we can clearly see the connection between the root sounds "Cum" or "Coom" and "Sum" or "Soom". (The S and C interchanging but holding their meaning).

In the Welsh language, we also have the term "Annwn" meaning the otherworld, Spirit world or Dreamworld.

In an additional thread, we have the Welsh word "Anhun" which means to Watch, to be wakeful, to be aware.

And, in the Mesopotamian epic of the tower of babel, as with its Biblical counterpart, there were the 300 "overseers" or "Watchers".

In ancient times the land of Egypt was called the land of Kemet!

In Arabic Alchemy is said Al - Kimiya. Kimiya means to alloy metals together. (And is where Chemistry takes its root).

In Welsh Al means Excellent, very; most or utmost.

And, Cymru relates to receiving; and to the Valley.

In the anatomical allegory, this is the receiving of the Golden light along the valley of the Spinal cord. A welcome reception into the Excellent and utmost high at the centre of the head.

Egypt is a land of Alchemy; Al-Kemet; Al-Kimiyia; Al-Cymru; Al-Swmmer and Al-Sumer.

The Great civilisation of Sumer was also a land of receiving, a receiving of the ancient knowledge from the God-Kings and Queens of old.

The land of the civilised kings indeed.

The ancient story of the tower of Babel is not only about a confounding of language; it is a confounding of tradition, a confounding of culture and a confounding of Humanity.

And the confusion is not only something that has happened in the past but an ongoing project.

This ancient tradition belongs to all of Humanity.

The astronomical, Terrestrial and Anatomical tradition.

And we must awaken to it, in order for the Whole to become greater than the "Sum" of its parts.
